Technical Representative, Birmingham

Overall responsibility

Continuous monitoring of the performance and needs of the contracted MRO's.

Assure that the contracted MRO's work under the company's established procedures.

Meet the regulatory authority requirements and compliance with the PART M and PART 145 regulations.

Follow the companies and contracted MRO facilities health and safety procedures.

Assure the Aircraft turnaround time through the oversight of the heavy maintenance activities contracted to the third party maintenance organizations.

Ensure the performance of the work-scope in accordance with the companies' standard and procedures.

Systematic control and monitoring of the heavy maintenance extra works.


Liaise with the MRO to understand and advice on any technical arising as and when they happen.

Make sure that the MRO is using the effective and accurate documentation and work-scope

Ensure maintenance resource is allocated for all scheduled tasks and non-scheduled arising's.

Assure precise and on time communication regarding all technical related events, between the company's CAMO and the MRO, to assure the identification of any critical path item and that necessary corrective actions are being taken.

Track the status of the aircraft and provide status update trough the company's maintenance information system (AMOS).

Assist to the MRO daily heavy maintenance meetings.

Ensure that any task within the work-scope that requires task card de assignment / deferral is review and the reasons of withdrawal is accepted and authorized by the company's CAMO prior to the aircraft RTS. The reasons of the de-assignment will be recorded in the Aircraft maintenance information system (AMOS).

Coordinate the technical consultations with the OEM's (Airbus, IAE, CFM; Goodrich (UTAS).etc.)

Provide advice and guidance to the MRO on interpretation of the company's technical documentation.

Systematic control and monitoring of the heavy maintenance extra works.

Aircraft entry and exit physical inspections.

Reporting of any issue regarding non-compliance with the company's procedures or the AESA regulations.


EASA PART-66 CAT-B1 or CAT-B2 or Engineer, preferably certified on A320 family (CFM56 and/or IAEV2500)

Five years relevant work experience in aviation

Previous maintenance control and/or line maintenance experience and /or Heavy maintenance experience.

High school, college or university degree

Good communication skills

Fluent English and Spanish. Other languages will be an advantage

Driver's license

EWIS & FTS procedures course

PART145 & M course would be an advantage.

Experience in structures report and repair will be an advantage.

Clean criminal records


Self-disciplined - able to work effectively independently

Proactive and cooperative attitude

Ability to work in intense environment

Able to communicate effectively to all related parties verbally and written.

Working knowledge of computer systems and programs, in particular, Word and Excel.

Knowledge on AMOS will be an advantage.

Work environment requirements

The position will require timetables flexibility and availability to travel to assist heavy checks abroad.

Team work ability

Project to run from October 01 to December 18
