JMC Recruitment are currently working with one of the global leaders in leasing aircraft who have a unique opportunity to join their sociable, close knit team. This role will allow you to become a pivotal member of the Technical Operations team where you will receive the necessary nurturing and development to become an expert within the technical services industry.

 

Reporting to the Director of Technical Operations you will be responsible for managing the delivery and redelivery of aircraft from leasee to leasor process and delivery programs

 

The role of Technical Manager will include;

 

·         Management of individual aircraft re-delivery and delivery programmes in a controlled, cost effective and professional manner.

·         Develop and implement aircraft project plans and budgets. Manage the projects within approved budgets and time scales along with regular project reporting to senior management.

·         Provide technical support to the business in the preparation and publication of refurbishment specifications and budgetary cost analyses for speculative deal enquires.

·         Supporting the business throughout deal negotiations, refining the refurbishment specification and budgetary costs accordingly.

·         Provide comprehensive programme plans, project costs and risk assessments for individual aircraft refurbishment programmes to support the transaction proposal process.

·         Present regular project stage reviews to line and senior managers throughout the programme duration in accordance with department procedures.

·         Develop and implement customer acceptance plans at the completion of the refurbishment programme. Administer the final acceptance of the aircraft by the customer and agree delivery documentation.

·         Manage the re-delivery of aircraft from the lessee at the point of lease termination and to be the focal point for the hand-over of the aircraft from the lessee to the lessor.

·         Develop and maintain a good business relationship with all our customers, MRO’s, OEM’s and sub-contractors.

 

The successful Technical Manager will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience

·          

·         Minimum of 10 years previous working knowledge within the airline maintenance/support business

·         Proven track record in the management and delivery of high value projects.

·         Broad based experience and knowledge of the airline industry.

·         Educated to Degree/HNC level.

·         Self-confident and motivated, good communication/inter-personal skills with the ability to work in and liaise with teams at all levels.

·         Computer literate with  MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects and Outlook

·         Working knowledge of EASA, UK CAA and US FAA Airworthiness Regulations and the transfer of aircraft from one registry to another would be advantageous

 

 

This is a permanent role based in Hertfordshire offering a competitive salary and benefits package .  Due to the nature of the role there will an element of overseas travel involved.
