Systems Engineer - 1063401

The successful candidate will perform a variety of complex system engineering tasks that include, to, design, development, integration, and/or testing of an aerial system. The successful candidate will participate as a team member and/or lead on project teams that oversee accreditation, sensor integration, software integration, and flight testing. The qualified candidate will be capable of system conceptualization, system level requirements definition and system test and evaluation.

Qualifications

*Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or related scientific or technical discipline
* Requires at least 10 years of experience in HW/SW design, development, integration and documentation or in a related field of system and test engineering
* Experience in DOD application development
* Must have Top Secret Clearance
* Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation when dealing with ambiguous and fast-paced situations
*Ability to lead multiple teams, manage relationships, and be a key contributor in training efforts
*Possession of excellent data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
*Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

*Excellent technical management and communication required to oversee execution and technical accuracy.
* Knowledge of GEOINT/spectral technology and data processing (preferred)* Experience with integrating sensors on an aerial platform (preferred)
*Will be required to coordinate with the multiple contractors, 116th MIB, NGIC, and I2WD personnel
*Responsible for providing system engineering support regarding all manner FMV (MX-15HDi, MX-15DiD, MX-20, etc), IMINT, LOS/BLOS communications, PED, etc.
*Assist in developing new requirements and corresponding engineering level of effort estimates, evaluating cost and technical proposals
*Participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues.
*Effectively communicate and coordinate with the senior military leadership, US Government customers, Contracting officer and Contractors (Prime and Sub), to establish relationships to support program management business rhythms, capture initiatives and other new requirements as appropriate.
*Review and evaluate projects Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)
*Ensure that proper systems engineering disciplines are being employed on PD ARL efforts
*Attend various PD IPTs, provide engineering input to vendors and team members
