Our team is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Ground Systems Development (GSD). In this role you will work under the THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) Force Operations (FO) Lead for development of Concept of Operations, functional and algorithm design for defense planning and evaluation. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting systems engineering efforts for the THAAD Portable Planner (TPP) for Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) integration and additional new capability development
• Responsibility for algorithm prototyping within the TFCC FO suite of modeling and simulation tools
• Developing new analysis tools, conducting analysis for assessment of prototype design
• Generating Algorithm Description Documentation (ADD) of final designs
• Supporting software development teams for formal software development and test activities
• Supporting program planning, and program execution status activities, and proposal development for new efforts

You will typically have a Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience with a related Masters degree.

Basic Qualifications:
• Algorithm development and/or analysis
• Modeling/simulation
• C/C++
• MATLAB
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Past experience with missile defense or similar algorithm development and analysis
• Requirements and Verification
• DOORS Requirements Database
• Missile Defense Concepts and Interoperability or Command and Control systems
• Program planning, program execution, and proposal development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to successfully work with LM Senior Management, Customers, and members of U.S. Army Air Defense community at large
• Active Secret clearance
