Systems Engineer

Responsibilities and Qualifications

* Research, design, develop, and test spacecraft systems for human spaceflight missions and operational capabilities

* Development of planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

* Analyze complex aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine missions planning and operational needs

* Support the task of integrating the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team of subsystem engineers into an overall habitable spacecraft system

* Support overall development of a human habitable spacecraft system with focus on Testability, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Producibility

* Perform requirements development, documentation management, quality assurance

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university

* 5 years experience with spacecraft design, development, integration, test and operations phases of spacecraft external interfaces. Experience with human spaceflight programs is essential

* Background in interfacing with customers and partners

* Self-starter who is flexible and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
