Description:This position is primarily a hardware integration effort that continues the development of the Weapon System Simulator (WSS) follow-on versions. The WSS augments the Systems Support Simulator (SSS) with additional hardware and capabilities. Successful candidate and position attributes include: • The ability to develop and document system, hardware, firmware, specifications, and test plans per high level requirements. • Support part selection, fabrication and assembly. • Have experience in automation of the collection, measurement, and evaluation of data including the use of a wide range of test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers. • Have experience with MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and serial interfaces. • Be capable of power distribution design of test equipment. • Expected to interface with stakeholders, suppliers, and other technical support personnel. • Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle. • Creating test set documentation in support of Design Assurance Reviews and Peer Reviews. • Should be a self-starter; with minimal to no oversight needed to complete assignments. The position is for a Systems Integration & Test effort on the program and will be funded through them and NOT Test Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with test equipment processes of documentation; materials procurement; and fabrication.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
• Experience in oral and written communication to present and to motivate
• Knowledge of earned value management
• Capable of working in a fast paced, demanding environment providing independent thinking, problem resolution and action with minimal direct oversight by senior management.
• Background in test equipment work item proposal development and execution.
• Experience in test equipment practices for the prototype build environment.
