ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an immediate opportunity for a Supply Technician to support our 160th Ground Vehicle Maintenance Support Contractor Field Team at Hunter AAF in Savannah, GA. This position will require an active DoD Secret clearance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Supply Technician will perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment * Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops * Writes item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels * Applies requirements, selecting the appropriate description pattern and answering the requirements contained in the pattern * Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers' catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers in order to identify duplicate items already catalogued or otherwise recorded in the supply system * Works within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines * Interacts with a variety of operating officials regarding limited aspects of program needs Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent is required * A minimum of 2 years of aviation experience performing the above duties and responsibilities * Demonstrated experience with GCSS Army required * Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines * Ability to understand and support the needs of the organization * Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines Physical Demands * Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance. Work Environment (ADA) * May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable. Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Active clearance highly desired.
