STS Technical Services is hiring Structural Engineers in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin!

This is a long-term contract position working in a state-of-the-art test lab on new product development for one of the most recognized companies in the world. STS is the exclusive provider of contingent engineering resources for our client and we are seeking candidates with the following experience:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Planning and execution of testing that effectively evaluates failure modes, validates designs, and verifies analysis methods

* Collaborate with stakeholders to create and modify work instructions to clearly define requirements

* Maintain, calibrate, and apply instrumentation following both in-house and regulatory calibration and preventive maintenance schedules

* Ability to operate data acquisition systems to collect data from sensors in support of testing

* Reduce test data into a format ready for validation testing or correlation

* Write engineering reports that document the test environment for knowledge capture

* Developing skills in fatigue analysis, reliability analysis, vibration analysis, or thermal analysis

* Strict adherence to the 5S concept and all other supporting continuous improvement methods

Basic Qualifications:

* Proficient at using office productivity software to generate reports, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets

* Demonstrates the use of common engineering calculations based on undergraduate engineering classes or equivalent such as free-body diagram, force and moment equations, material data sheets and material curves

* Has implemented tools and techniques used for test instrumentation

* Basic knowledge of data acquisition systems and techniques

* Exemplified or demonstrated potential for personal leadership

Educational Requirements:

* This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree
