On behalf of our client, a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of helicopters we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Dynamics Analyst for a long-term contact role.
As Structural Dynamics Analyst your role is to assist with the dynamic analysis, testing and qualification of the Company’s products in order to ensure that the requirements and expectations of Customers and Airworthiness Authorities are met or exceeded.
Expertise in set-up and driving shaker table environmental testing (vibration and shock related) on flying equipment is essential along with;
- Signal analysis and signal processing
- Frequency response of a structure.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Degree or higher qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, science or mathematics).
Basic technical knowledge and experience of: theoretical dynamics, vibration analysis, passive vibration control methods, active vibration control algorithms, vibration testing and instrumentation
Basic knowledge of Finite Element method and its application for structural modelling and analysis
Knowledge of digital signal analysis fundamentals
Specific working knowledge of: civil and military helicopter operations; airworthiness regulation, etc.
Basic knowledge of: transmissions systems, power systems, structures, helicopter ground and flight test procedures
Practice and basic skills of PC-based office automation packages and technical high-level programming languages like Matlab, Fortran, etc.
Travelling and working away from home for short duration periods may be occasionally required
