Cobham Aviation Services are recruiting for a Storekeeper to support colleagues in daily stores activities and tasks in order to meet the needs of our rotary or fixed wing business units. The Storekeeper will report directly to the Stores & Logistics Supervisor.
This position is based at our Bournemouth International Airport site and requires minimal travel:
Prior experience as a Storekeeper or similar stores position, preferably within a complex engineering environment. (aerospace would be advantageous but not essential)
Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
Good communication skills
Hold a full UK Driving License.
Apply countermeasures identified in applicable risk assessment to appointed operations/tasks.
Ensuring the correct location and issue of parts held in and issued from Stores utilising the Company Inventory Management database.
Safeguard Store operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
To support the Stores Flexible Working rota.
Control and issue of tooling in accordance with Company Procedures.
Control and restocking of AGS and consumables.
Control and restocking of COSHH cupboards.
Conducting stocktaking as required by the Stores & Logistics Manager.
Fork Lift Operations in support of Stores functions.
Responsible to the Senior Storekeeper for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all tooling held by Stores.
Responsible to the Senior Storekeeper for the replacement of faulty tooling, utilising the normal company purchasing process.
Responsible to the Senior Storekeeper for arranging the purchase of new tooling utilising the normal company purchasing process.
Manage and monitor all shelf life controlled items per Stores procedures.
Supporting the Senior Storekeeper in the maintenance of the tooling database.
Deliveries checked to ensure correct documentation and order requirements.
Stationary/Sundry deliveries advised and issue controlled by signature.
Goods Inwards Inspection IAW Company Procedures.
Ensure correct labelling of parts.
Timely raising of Despatch Notes.
Ensure correct packaging and labelling of dispatched goods including Dangerous Goods and in a timely manner.
Ensure that all import and export requirements are completed in accordance with current HMRC legislation and company procedures.
