Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a position based in Orlando, FL. The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States and possibly some international suppliers. Duties include:

Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards

Provides internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective / preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action

Requests Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities

Participates (as required) in supplier's failure / diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities

Performs on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports

Provides technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters

Ensures supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier daily
Basic Qualifications:
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures

Must have ability to obtain a security clearance

Must have an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) An understanding of engineering requirements Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action

Must have an understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Must have an understanding of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily to support the Program

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all program supplier quality engineering activities

Effective communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Subcontracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives

Additionally, candidates may be required to work in a manufacturing environment that would require standing and the use the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (protective footwear, eye / hearing protection, or other protective equipment designed to protect people from work place hazards
Desired Skills:
A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA or CQIA)

Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers

Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Demonstrated Leadership, Customer Relationship Management skills
