General responsibilities of the position: Pratt & Whitney Canada is undergoing a digital transformation journey and is looking for a talented candidate who will actively participate in projects supporting this transformation. More specifically, the candidate will join the team responsible for customer service applications. This team supports the activities of the maintenance and overhaul, warranty programs, spare parts sales as well as engine data prognostics& health management businesses.
By joining our IT team, you will be based in Longueuil and report to the DT (Digital Technology) Manager, Customer Service. The solution architect is responsible to drive adoption of mobile solutions and Web application, define UI best practices and assist others in leveraging new technologies. By working closely with the enterprise architecture group you will help define balance between leveraging current technologies and adapting new tools and solutions. You will maintain technical currency through the development of prototypes and POCs as appropriate
Specific responsibilities of position: • Plan, manage and perform the activities related to the detailed analysis and design of Web/Mobile solutions;
• Propose best practices for these solutions;
• Participate in troubleshooting incidents;
• Provide consultative guidance on development options as well as project estimates ;
• Understand the technical integration points with our major back ends (SAP, MS Dynamics, SharePoint, etc.);
• Participate in the implementation of DevOps tools and processes (CI, CD, automated testing, quality assurance, Application security & Micro-Services
Qualifications required: Bachelor degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in design, web development(Full Stack) and technical support for business applications
Knowledge of business systems integration (eg.: SAP, CRM) and DevOps tools.
Mobile development experience (asset)
Familiar with standards(ITIL) and Togaf certification (asset)
Passion for new technologies
Strong sense of leadership, autonomy and good communication
Bilingual – French and English
Field of studies: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology
