Description:RMS's Analytics, PHM and Artificial Intelligence (APA) Innovations team applies technology, processes and expertise to a wide variety of platform data in order to drive proactive decision-making throughout the business. Data generated from on-board health usage and monitoring system (HUMS), aircraft operations, and aircraft maintenance is collected, conditioned and analyzed to identify opportunities for improvements to an aircraft’s design and supportability. The ultimate business goal of is to increase the availability of supported platforms, reduce operational costs and to enable a strategic business shift to condition-based maintenance. APA’s rapidly evolving Analytics Development team functions like a small startup within RMS, rapidly developing solutions in pursuit of these objectives, and working with a wide variety of internal customer and expert groups.
This position, within the APA Analytics team, is critical to the expansion of analytical capabilities and technologies that enable the organization to extract intelligence from fielded LM platforms, and to remain a leader in the area of sustainment services. The selected candidate will be part of a team charged with evolving analytic products for both Military and Commercial Programs.
Evolve predictive analytics capabilities by designing and implementing aspects of various applications, databases and workflows which serve to identify, quantify and predict cost, readiness and reliability issues facing LM platform operators.
Communicate with APA customers and team members to gather requirements and produce outputs aligned with strategic business objectives, within schedule and budgetary constraints.
Design and help implement systems for moving, manipulating, storing, and processing SQL and NoSQL data.
Help enforce best practices and standards across the s/w development team.
Work independently in an agile, fast paced environment.
Develop and deliver executive-level presentations and reports to customers, as required.
B.S. in Computer Science (CS), or related field.
Minimum 3 years professional experience with application development and direct experience moving, manipulating, storing, and processing various SQL and No SQL data.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance
Experience designing and building SaaS applications.
Current active transferable Secret Clearance is desired.
Familiarity with military aircraft sustainment tools and processes.
Experience with Oracle, HANA and HDFS.
Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma certified.
