Key Responsibilities 

 

Maintenance & repair of aircraft metallic components   

  • Carryout repair work of metallic aircraft components as per repair order requirements
  • Use of maintenance data to carry out repairs and resolve defects
  • Carry out problem solving in accordance with recognised data in order to rectify defects
  • Liaison with the Workshop Planning Engineer to resolve technical issues

Creation & control of supporting maintenance documentation   

  • Create work packs using the Workshop's internal computer system
  • Ensure satisfactory completion of repair documentation and paperwork
  • Follow company procedural guidance with regards to satisfying the requirements of EASA Part 145

Monitor tooling and facility          

  • Ensure all tooling is kept in a serviceable condition and ensure any faulty equipment is captured and rectified
  • Adhere to internal procedural guidance with regards to personal tooling &equipment

Training               

  • Support trainees positioned to the Workshops and assist in their learning &training

Reporting            

  • Report to the Structures Bay Supervisor with regards to queries pertaining to the activity of the component shop

Knowledge         

  • Apply knowledge of supporting legislation pertaining to EASA Part 145 and associated'C ratings

 

Essential Experience:

  • Repair & maintenance of aircraft metallic components; including sheet metalwork, riveting, forming etc.
  • Part 145 'C' rated environment
  • Industry paperwork standards
  • Safe working practice

Desirable experience:

  • Specific electrical repair & maintenance shop experience
  • Technician level with Part 145 'C' rated environment
  • Essential Qualifications - Technical, Vocational or Educational:
  • Authorisation holder for relevant 'C' ratings

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Aviation industry recognised apprenticeship

Essential Attributes:

  • Good level of engineering practice & experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable Attributes:

  • Appetite for overtime if required
