With the aim of strengthening our teams and providing our clients with the right talents, AKKA Middle East is looking for SENIOR TOOLING ENGINEER to work in the U.A.E..

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for implementation, improvement and development of the tooling processes under guidance with an objective for developing high quality products. Assist in sustaining production and/or introducing new products.
  • Provide inputs to senior engineer in defining, specifying and qualifying program tooling requirements from bid through to releasing tools to production
  • Assist senior engineer in implementing smooth on-boarding of new project by ensuring tooling is safe and aligned to Client's environment
  • Create designs for (new) tools basis the specification derived from the data shared by customers
  • Implement improvements to the tooling process to enhance the effectiveness and reduce the cost 
  • Provide technical support to address simple tooling concerns in product developments.
  • Keep abreast with new tooling methodologies, propose new research concepts, carry out the research and document the results under guidance.
  • Provide tooling maintenance support to the organization by resolving simple issues logged in the system by production team
  • Support/Work with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) or Sustaining Teams to provide tooling support for Program activities.    

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, concepts, process, industry best practices (e.g. Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), six sigma)
  • Basic knowledge of Stress & Liason engineering principles, process, analysis tools (Nastran, Patran, SimXpert, Esacomp) and techniques
  • Design engineering principles, concepts (composites modeling, solid modeling, geometric dimensioning and tolerance), process, analysis tools and techniques
  • working knowledge of Tooling process, procedure, concepts, standards, tools and techniques, Tooling estimating and budgeting techniques Aerospace Interchangeability Standards and Methodologies
  • basic knowledge of NC Programming concepts, tools, principles and software (ENOVIA, SAP, Majestic etc.)

PROFILE:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an appropriate Engineering discipline from an internationally accredited university (or documented relevant experience and training in lieu of).                                                                                                                                   
  • Documented training record for key competencies relevant to work scope, with continued competency development.
  • Good command of spoken & written English, including technical terminology relevant to aerospace engineering and work scope.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office and Engineering software relevant to work scope (e.g. Enovia, Catia, Delmia, Nastran, etc.)
