We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer- to take on major design responsibilities in the development of automatic flight control systems for the next generation of business, regional, military and air-transport aircraft. System engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from system design through system testing.

System development tasks include:

*

Develop control algorithms and signal processing for flight control systems. This includes flight guidance, autothrottle, and attitude control systems for Business and Regional aircraft

*

Define and review system requirements for flight control systems including functional requirements and interface requirements

*

Develop models and simulation tools for various types of closed loop systems to assess performance

*

Conduct system verification and validation of the control algorithms, flight control system functional requirements and interface requirements.

*

Previous knowledge of flight control systems, flight management systems, or automatic throttle systems is a requirement and experience with Matlab/Simulink is desirable.

Requirements for Consideration:

*

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

The ideal candidate is a self starter that can be trusted to own and complete tasks without prodding and supervision

*

The ideal candidate has some expertise in the flight controls domain and is passionate about sharing this expertise to mentor others.

*

The ideal candidate has expertise in all phases of the systems development life cycle

*

The ideal candidate understands the objectives of industry guidance like ARP4754 and methods for demonstrating compliance to such guidance

*

The ideal candidate can perform effectively as a Project Engineer or Technical Lead
