Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a position based in Fort Worth, TX. The position requires quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured F-35 Non-Air Vehicle products in a product development and sustainment environment. The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States and possibly some international suppliers (up to 50% travel may be required). Duties include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. The selected candidate will work in a team environment to manage

Supports Supplier IPTs and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex

Attends and leads project corrective action board meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality

Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement

Makes the final decision on acceptability of product

Perform analysis and use data analytics to implement supplier countermeasures and drive performance improvement

Participate in source selection and supplier competition activities to evaluate total value to business

Provide internal and supplier support for identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests and Quality notes

Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities

Implement supplier development, recovery, standard work used to develop suppliers to perform at World Class levels

Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities

Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents providing written weekly reports and interfacing with Senior Level Management

Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering and supplier management matters

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts Management Team and Customer Government Representatives
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent

Must have ability to obtain a security clearance

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Presentation skills: PowerPoint, supporting documentation, verbal communication, facilitation, leadership

Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action

Strong understanding of engineering requirements management

High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals and delivers results.

Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems

Understanding engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods and design

A basic understanding of special processes and strong skill in managing and interfacing with suppliers on a daily bases to support the Program

Ability to certify/approve a supplier to perform specified processes

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities

Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts Management Team and Customer Government Representatives
Desired Skills:
SAP P2P and COS MRP/procurement systems

LM EPDM system

Aerospace Ground Support Equipment maintenance/manufacturing experience or commensurate related experience

ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

Experience with working with suppliers and US Military customers in a dynamic environment

Aircraft maintenance experience and/or FAA A&P License

Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers to the SSOW

Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems

Knowledge of Reduced Dimension Drawings and 3D Models

Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance

Problem solving skills at a highly refined level

Skilled in supplier recovery and development activity with experience in Sub-tier Management, Cellular Manufacturing, 5S, equipment utilization rates, Kaizen events, Industrial Engineering, FIFO, Lean, Configuration Management, Change Control, Requirements Management and waste reduction
