Role Overview

The Program Manager, NextGen Connectivity, is responsible for the successful planning, implementation and support of NextGen connectivity solutions customer programs within CANS, on time and on budget. You will be leading a cross functional matrixed team responsible for the program performance, quality, schedule and costs.

Primary Responsibilities:

* P&L responsibility for all Global NextGen Inflight Connectivity Programs
* The person is responsible and accountable for the AOP and SFP targets
* Monitor, manage and report on budget each month
* The person is responsible and accountable for the pipeline management
* Coordinate with the Regional Sales Lead to create and manage Annual Revenue and Profit targets
* Responsible for leading a team in support of proposal development and pricing
* Leading a team of Program and Commercial staff to support Sales to mine opportunities
* Constant interaction with customers, and cross functional business units across UTC and Collins Aerospace
* Develops, modifies, oversees, and coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects
* Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients or end users
* Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client/end user satisfaction goals and objectives
* Builds Powerful Networks - Involves networking internally and externally to develop and maintain relationships in all kinds of organizations – knowing what they do, how they can help you, and how you can help them
* Leads the development of tools, processes and approaches that build a heightened sense of confidence in the organization's ability to achieve astonishing results. (Business Acumen, Customer Focus, Planning and Organizing, Drive for Results, Continuous Process Improvement and Quality Orientation)
* Travel up to 25%

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

* Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience
* Extensive Project or Engineering Management experience
* Strong Aviation background and experience particularly in the field of aviation communications both air to ground and ground to ground
* Demonstrated leadership ability
* Possess strong strategic, critical and problem-solving thinking
* Possess demonstrated leadership and collaboration with functional teams
* Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills
* Preferred experience with aviation related Solutions / Technologies is a distinct advantage
* Highly experienced in managing a team and skillfully deploying resources against multiple implementation and operational objectives while managing within a budget
* Hands-on knowledge working with airlines within region is a significant benefit
* Solid capability of project management with proven ability to track and report technical, schedule, and fiscal project performance
* Excellent English proficiency with demonstrated communication, influencing and negotiation skills
* Results oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company and customers. Strong customer service experience
* Strong interpersonal and people management skills ​
