What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)\:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field, or comparable experience
  • 8 years in the aircraft maintenance industry with a minimum 3 years in management involving a leadership role
  • FAA A&P Certificate
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations
  • International vendor, contract and regulatory experience (for International region leadership)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications)\:

  • 2 years in a leadership role within a large maintenance organization including a unionized labor workforce
  • A validated successful track
  • Strong background and technical knowledge on fleet types operated and maintenance programs
  • Strong cultural awareness to build and maintain professional relationships on a global basis
  • Six Sigma Certification

Key Responsibilities\:

  • Reporting to Managing Director, leadership of all Technical Operations activities ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance whilst maintaining a strong focus on product & process improvement, cost control, efficiency and team building
  • Supports Managing Director to plan and actively lead both long range and day to day maintenance operations within the hub station
  • Works closely with team and labor to insure efficiency, positive labor relations and adequate resources are available to support the mission
  • Execution of departmental strategy and business plan through direct leadership of station maintenance personnel
  • Shared responsibility for budgetary compliance and cost control
  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance organization including labor workforce to improve efficiency and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements where applicable
  • Build/reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies
  • Complete station performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals
  • Keen awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety and human resource related performance objectives
  • Ensure safety and security of aircraft and operations
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities and local governments to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all levels & employee groups within the station
  • Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to MD whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
  • Identify key issues needing to be addressed and assign projects where applicable
