Cobham Aviation Services are recruiting for a Senior Integration and Test Engineer (ATC)
This role provides a variety of opportunities, the focus being on the Integration, Test and Customer Acceptance of ATC systems but using the knowledge gained performing these tasks, the engineer should be able to contribute towards analysis, simulation, demonstrations, training and support activities adding value to the wider development team and supporting the operations team.
The role is based at our Bournemouth International Airport site and requires minimal travel.
As the Senior Integration and Test Engineer (ATC) your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Any exposure to the testing of ATC systems or knowledge of common ATC radar formats is preferable but not mandatory.
Experience in test and integration of systems, predominantly using manual test methods.
Familiar with development project lifecycles from requirements through to design, tests and acceptance
Experience of using requirements management tools
Experience of using the Windows Operating System to host software-based products, e.g. configuration, and use of built in tools and facilities create or edit batch files, edit registry.
Relevant engineering qualifications, e.g. Degree, HNC or recognised apprenticeship plus hands on experience within industry.
As the Senior Integration and Test Engineer (ATC)a your main responsibilities will involve:
To achieve integration of software and hardware, both internally and with external systems in a lab environment using production standard hardware, representative networks etc.
To test the integrated system and raise appropriate fault reports for issues found during testing with the aim of verifying and validating the product.
To test bug fixes including the identification and running of appropriate regression tests.
To write new or amend existing tests for both functional/requirement proving test as well as FAT
Creating and capturing test data, scenarios (simulated targets) plus any supporting documentation
Running tests produced by self or peers.
Peer reviews of test artefacts such as test plans, procedures or process documentation.
To run FAT in the presence of the customer or their representative.
To contribute towards the design of test models, production of departmental processes and project test plans as well as providing and input into cost estimates for new work.
To define, install, configure and maintain Test Lab resources.
Reviewing requirement and design documentation providing feedback to the author
Maintain traceability using a requirements management tool
Accountable for the quality of testing and therefore the final product.
To be responsible for the on-going health and safety of self and colleagues by ensuring the work areas and equipment are safe and raising any problems via the appropriate channels.
Participate in quality audits whether internal or external
