YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
You would work with a vendor who is developing multiple applications for Delta to learn and understand their code and take over maintenance, support, and future enhancements for their Azure APIs after the application is implemented in production.
The developer would work with the vendor and Delta team to learn the code and begin providing 24x7 support (on a rotating basis with other developers).
The application is being hosted in Microsoft Azure cloud and uses Azure services
Will also need to participate in troubleshooting calls with application development and support team.
You would learn and support the Azure API.
The application will be critical to Delta's operation and troubleshooting problems will be highly collaborative.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
The Developer position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems development field.
5+ years of experience required
Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud/Azure services.
Delta will have support from the vendor that is building the apps and APIs for the first 60 days after the implementation.
Microsoft Azure experience
The candidate needs to possess excellent communications skills - both verbal and written.
Come from Agile dev. background working with Full Stack App Dev.
You should have knowledge of modern deployment practices and comfortable with CI/CD.
Cloud experience (one of the major 3 AWS, Azure, GCP) required.
Apigee experience required.
Knowledge of Cosmos database is required
Cloud to cloud experience would be a plus.
Must have the ability to listen to customers and colleagues; convey ideas effectively; prepare written documentation
Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
It is very important to restore the application back to service due to an outage as quickly as possible due to the critical nature of the application and its importance to running the airline.
