Triumph Aerospace Structures, a division of the Triumph Group, has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior CMM Inspector at our Hot Springs, Arkansas facility. We are a rapidly growing aerospace company involved in manufacturing bonded structural aircraft components for the commercial, military and general aviation industry. About the Opportunity

Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our Quality Assurance team as a CMM Inspector.

A CMM Inspector ensures compliance to customer requirements of all product produced by Triumph Aerospace Structures – Hot Springs via mechanical means, review of test reports or certifications, or by monitoring of any acceptable Statistical methods used to assure conformance to requirements and process capability.

Major duties of a CMM Inspector include:

Measures parts and materials for conformance to specifications, using micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Operates CMS (Coordinate Measuring System) such as a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to dimensionally inspect product
Reads and interprets aerospace manufacturing drawings / models – including tolerances, customer specification and technical requirements
CMM inspect purchased and internal manufactured parts for conformance to purchase order, drawing / model and specification requirement
Apply GD&T in accordance with ANSI Y14.5 with tolerance up to .xxx places
Performs visual, dimensional, mechanical, and optical inspections per work instructions
CMM works from engineering drawings, internal and external specifications, quality assurance standards, test procedures and verbal instructions to determine acceptance of product
Documents product acceptance / rejection on manufacturing order, processes any necessary rejection documentation and performs various ERP system functions



High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relevant experience in quality assurance (3-5 years preferred).
Documented training in Blue Print reading, Precision measurements and Applied math
On the Job experience with reading aerospace blue prints and using precision measuring instruments
Working knowledge of Aerospace products & production / assembly processes
Proficient with researching, interpreting, and applying customer specifications & work instructions or procedures
General knowledge of Verisurf and CATIA

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Measure Max, PC DIMIS, or other CMM programming software is a plus
Experience with Model based software like Enovia is a plus.
General knowledge of Verisurf and CATIA
