This position is responsible for building strong business understanding and relationships to enable the delivery of technology solutions that deliver the intended business value in the spirit of the Agile Scrum Methodology. The Sr. Business Analyst's primary responsibilities are to assist the Product Owner, business and IT product teams by the management of the Backlog along with active participation in the following but not limited to: Inception, Future State, Alignment, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, User Story Writing and Refinement.
Responsible for conducting complex and thorough research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the objectives of the assigned products
Work with Product Owner, and SMEs to prioritize feature development, based on the business value
Eliciting and creating initial epics/features and elaborating into user stories that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements
Delivers business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups/demos, etc
Collaborate with a cross-functional teams inside a Scrum framework
Coordinate multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to the customer
Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies.
Perform testing in Dev and UAT environment.
Track bugs, enhancements and ensure issues are resolved before going to production
Able to work on multiple initiatives and balance constantly changing priorities.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
5+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst of relevant development life cycle experience in systems with 3+ years' experience as an Agile Business Analyst
Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams, is desirable
Define product requirements in partnership with stakeholders and in alignment with the overall product strategy
Communicate effectively and consistently with customers, partners, business and technical teams and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Fosters open communication by encouraging the expression of ideas and opinions.
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
A passionate commitment to user-centered design and development
Extensive knowledge of product and software development techniques and agile methodologies
Plan and coordinate the execution and delivery of a product roadmap through close collaboration with UX/UI designers, engineering teams, quality assurance, and third party vendors
Ability to negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among representatives from various business and development teams
Ability to facilitate meetings and requirements definition and be a liaison between internal/external customers, developers and stakeholders
