Configure avionics demonstration lab including installing and connecting hardware components, installing software, and troubleshooting system performance.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain configuration accounting of all lab assets.
Install new hardware and/or software to support system demonstrations to customer and/or system testing.
Coordinate with software development leads to define and execute system installation and demonstration procedures.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma or GED plus 12 years of experience or an Associate’s Degree plus 10 years of experience is required.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months of hire.
Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
Must have experience and be comfortable working with both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
Must have experience installing and troubleshooting avionics components including multi-function displays, radios, mission computers, etc.
Must be self-starter able to work with minimal supervision based on defined objectives.
Experience running avionics system test procedures.
Must have experience connecting avionics components and commercial computers to custom or commercial power supplies.
Experience working with unmanned systems, especially unmanned aviation systems is desirable.
Experience managing a small avionics lab is desirable.
Understanding of Government Property management procedures is desirable.
