On behalf of our client, a distributor and provider of logistics and supply chain services to the aerospace industry, Line Up Aviation are seeking applicants for a permanent Sales Executives role based in Surrey.

It is preferable that the successful candidate will have sales experience gained from within the aerospace parts industry and will be able to demonstrate a drive and desire to succeed in this industry. You will manage ad develop multiple customers, working to targets selling materials and optimising revenue performance and profitability.

To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate a high degree of working knowledge of all MS Office applications, you should be an advanced Excel worker.

Main responsibilities:

  • Operates as the lead point of contact for nominated aerospace customers, to establish and strengthen relationships necessary for customer growth.
  • Manages relationships with customers, contributing, and actively supporting business whilst looking for new opportunities and following up on leads
  • Manages RFQ's in a timely manner ensuring the RFQ is based upon qualified sources, best practice shopping, usage of existing stock, the principle of ROI and maintaining a healthy margin.
  • Processes the quotation to the customer and ensures the proper information flow regarding the customer's order status.
  • Where an appropriate supply chain solution is identified the salesperson will assist in the solutions analysis and customised proposal.
  • Utilises available data on SAP to analyse stock, performance, and sales margins.
  • Ensures budgeted, forecasted revenue and margin targets are met or surpassed.
  • Acts as a professional contact point for the business, ensuring the company is always represented in a friendly and positive manner


Ideal candidate profile:

Skills & Experience:

  • A Level or equivalent. Degree or master's is a plus
  • Experience of sales within the aerospace spares industry beneficial
  • An understanding of technical components /engineering /quality standards would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of inventory trends, customs, and delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP's) is essential together with a high standard of proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A good working knowledge of sales techniques and tools aimed at optimising customer sales is desired
  • Able to manage budget/targets for a customer portfolio
  • Experience of working to financial targets and utilising data analysis to improve ROI


Soft Skills:

  • Initiative together with an entrepreneurial attitude should be demonstrable
  • Strong team player
