RF Communications & Digital Signals Processing Engineer

Job Description: Primary Purpose
Provide Radio Frequency (RF) Communications and Digital Signal Processing support to work team. Work with a broad range of technologies on a multi-disciplinary design team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop software to perform detection, demodulation and processing of RF communications systems
Implement signal processing techniques and modern RF communications standards as published in the literature
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job
Minimum Qualifications: Skills and Knowledge
Academic or work-related experience with RF Communications and Digital Signal Processing
Experience with detection, demodulation and processing of modern RF communications systems
Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) frameworks and standards such as Software Communications Architecture (SCA), GNU Radio, REDHAWK and X-Midas
Experience programming in a Linux environment using at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, or Python
Good verbal and writing skills with attention to detail and ability to create technical documentation and plans
2+ years of experience in DSP or software development
Active U.S. Government Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/poly
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and 2-4 years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.
4 years of additional experience may be substituted for degree
Preferred Qualifications: N8:N9
