ABOUT
THIS POSITION

KBR is seeking a physicist
with specialization in nanoscience and quantum photonics. Duties will focus on nanofabrication / cleanroom arts, including tools and techniques, i.e. e-beam lithography, oxidation and annealing, deposition (LPCVD), etch (SiC and GaAs chemistries), ellipsometry, and profilometry.

The ideal candidate will have previously conducted research
with confocal microscopy, CW and time-domain spectroscopy techniques. Cleanroom research experience should include annealing, deposition, ebeam lithography, etching (SiC and GaAs). The selected candidate will prepare presentations and present experimental results to senior staff members.

This position is located at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensor
Directorate, Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: PhD
in Physics or equivalent with five years of relevant research experience is required.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Research experience in quantum photonic devices with diamond and diamond nanowire single photon sources is required.
History of published papers in recognized scientific journals is required.
Ability to generate scientific articles and laboratory reports suitable
for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

This position is part of an interdisciplinary team including materials scientists, physicists, electrical engineers, and optical engineers.The selected applicant must meet eligibility requirements
for a DoD security clearance, as well as the Air Force Research
Laboratory requirements to access Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
