Analyse data on non-conformances in in-service Structures, Transmission or Rotors Components received from the Customer for possible recovery action.
Liaise with internal departments and external Customers to advise on best approach for repair.
Perform on and off-site Aircraft and Component surveys.
Provide Repair Schemes, ranging from individual Component to major whole Aircraft damage.
Key Responsibility Areas
Generate Repair Schemes for in-service Aircraft and Components, to an acceptable standard, to the correct format and within cost and timescale constraints. Ensure repair scheme content is suitable for use by the end user in terms of materials, processes, facilities and skill requirements.
Perform on and off-site Aircraft and Component surveys and provide Repair Schemes, ranging from individual Component to major whole Aircraft damage.
Build and sustain sound and professional working relationships with all stakeholders, to ensure the ongoing development of commercial opportunities for the business.
Maintain the Repair Design systems and documentary control of tasks placed on the department, utilising the appropriate Tasking system e.g. TQS and CRM. Record repair methodology and archive of tasks on completion.
Discuss the progress of tasks with the relevant Principal Engineer to ensure budgeting restraints are met.
This role may require you to drive 2500 or more business miles each year.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline with suitable number of years in development or design fields and/or Apprenticeship with suitable number of years in assembly and detail manufacture.
Communication skills at all levels with stakeholders and Customers.
Product knowledge of LH Aircraft.
Understand the Company's Airworthiness Authority process.
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
Problem solving skills.
Persuasion and influencing skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Computer skills including good understanding of MS Word.
CAD draughting skills, using AutoCad, Cadam and CATIA.
Researching skills, utilising many different internal and external sources to obtain information.
