Radar/Sensor Engineer

Develop the Army’s Next Generation Sensor!

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Join a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers developing the new US Army radar system. This program integrates state-of-the-art sensor technology with existing Army Air and Missle Defense systems, and requires in-depth understanding of Radar systems and theory, performance data experience, and hardware background. Candidates require strong analytical and problem solving skills to support modeling and simulation, test planning and support, and data analysis and reporting. You will interface directly with the Government customer and contractor subject matter experts regularly. 10% travel for meetings and test events will be required.

Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Possess a Bachelor's of Science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

* 10+ years of experience in Radar/Sensor technology

* Demonstrated experience with radar hardware, radar architecture, signal processing, scenario generation, scheduler, systems integration and test to include validation and verification

* Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and others (in addition to MATLAB and Python)

* Proven experience working in the Air and Missile Defense sector for large programs

* Candidate must be a US Citizen

* Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience directly supporting a Government customer

* Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
