QC Technician/Inspector
is responsible for the incoming inspection of purchased parts and circuit card assemblies; in-process inspection of product in flow; and final inspection of completed products and documentation to verify conformance to standards, specifications, drawings, and other Mustang requirements.

You will demonstrate success by:

Perform detailed visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspection on fabricated parts; cast or molded, machined parts, sheet-metal parts, and wire harnesses using common measuring devices such as: calipers; optical comparator; micrometers; pin, thread, and functional gauges; height checks; dial indicators; and microscopes

*

Must be able to read and interpret part drawings and specifications to perform the required inspections

*

Examination of products for compliance to workmanship standards and proper installation of correct components, hardware, and wiring

*

Verification to specifications; purchase orders, drawings, and inspection instructions

*

Programming and use of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

*

Reviews and approves material specifications; certificates of analysis from suppliers

*

Verify final inspection data packages for product shipments are complete

*

Perform data entry and maintain records for inspections, non-conformances, and reports

*

Experience with IPC-A-610 solder and workmanship requirements considered a benefit

*

Qualifications

*

Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance; must be able to obtain additional clearances as required

* Minimum High School diploma or GED required; Technical Associates Degree Preferred

*

Minimum 3-5 years in a high-tech development or production manufacturing environment

*

Experience in defense/government/industry program Quality Assurance and manufacturing

* The ability to work independently and with little direction

* Experience with mechanical inspection tools and techniques

* Capable with use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge pins, dial indicators, microscopes; working knowledge of Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM). Some experience with optical inspection machines (e.g.) MicroVu or equivalent preferred.

* Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards

* Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment

* Experience in defense/government program Quality Assurance and manufacturing

* Past inspection of military or aerospace products experience

* IPC and MIL Specs and Standards experience

* ASQ certified CMI or CQT

* IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certified or experienced

* CMM experience

* ANSI Y14.5 GD&T experience

* Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

* Proficient with Microsoft Office products

* Hands ‐ on ability and good interpersonal and teaming skills

* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
