The AMETEK MRO Division manufactures and provides repair and overhaul services for commercial transport, regional aircraft, business jets, military aircraft and military vehicles, and also serves both the airframe and engine component manufacturers and aftermarket industry segments.

The MRO Division is a part of the Electronic Instruments Operating Group. The division’s current operating facilities exist in Holbrook, New York; St. Louis, Missouri; Baldwin Park California; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Wichita, Kansas; Miami Florida; and internationally in Singapore, France and The United Kingdom.

MRO Tulsa is comprised of Drake Air and Southern Aeroparts. Both are certified aviation repair stations based in Tulsa, OK. These business units repair and maintain environmental control system components, engine fuel heaters and fuel oil coolers. Additionally, these businesses repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components for over 40 different commercial aircraft types. These businesses were acquired by AMETEK in December 2006 and February 2008, respectively. MRO Tulsa has approximately 100 employees across the businesses.

POSITION SUMMARY: Continually monitor the maintenance being accomplished throughout the repair station observing that all personnel are accomplishing their work in accordance with the requirements of the RSM and QCM while being available to buy of maintenance actions that require inspection buy-offs?

Performs quality control inspections, inspects materials and articles/components at various stages in the Repair Station. Adheres to all written policies and procedures to include the Repair Station Quality Manual and the FAR Part 145 regulations.
Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
Report any discrepancies that could affect return to service of articles in the repair station, such as calibration requirements, tooling & equipment requirements, technical data requirements and any other requirements outlined in the Repair Station Quality Manual and the FAA Part 145 regulations.

Position Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 5-7 years of related experience.

Must be familiar with standard aviation MRO/Repair Station activities as well as be thoroughly familiar with FAA regulations.
Must be able to obtain FAA Part 65 Certification, Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic rating preferred or previous Repairman Certification.
Must have basic computer skills and have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to work under limited supervision.
Ability to work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, speak and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Carry out primary responsibility in educating, preventing and managing safety in the workplace. Duties shall include observing all company, health, safety and environmental rules, ensuring that employees are provided with full information on area specific safety orientation, identify all unique hazards, and provide employees with the proper equipment to carry out their jobs in a safe manner. Also, the entire work area must be routinely inspected so as to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and low incidence of physical hazards and all accidents must be promptly reported.
