Shorterm Group are working with a trusted client who is market leader within the Aerospace domain providing design and manufacture of high specification products and services for engineering solutions.
Comprising of high temperature/thermal engineering solutions for aerospace, motorsport, marine defence, nuclear and oil & gas applications producing a wide range of stainless steel and titanium products.
What we are looking for:
Required to join the team is an experienced Quality Engineer who will be confident enough to be responsible for the process of creating & maintaining the Master Plans in the ERP system.
Candidates who will be considered will be familiar with ensuring customer and regulatory requirements are understood and maintained and have continuous improvement. Establish and implement quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance.
Naturally you'll ensure the development of policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components or operations.
Key skill areas required (But not limited to)
*Ability to carry out root cause analysis investigations (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys) that have arisen from product non-conformities resulting in corrective and preventive actions.
*Facilitate audits on site and at client sites.
*Be responsible for First Article Inspection across all part numbers and in addition support New Product Introduction & Advance Product Quality.
*Strong knowledge and understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, AS9102, and AS13000
*Liaison with suppliers and customers to resolve Quality related issues
*Take an active part in regulatory / customer audits and be able to explain the compliance functions supported by the Quality team.
*Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline preferred, or qualified by experience
