Zenon Recruitment is excited to be supporting a globally established, fast expanding organisation outside of aviation in their search for a Quality Assurance Manager with extensive experience within aviation to join their team. The company is based in the UK and overseas with this role being remote working with the requirement for some international travel to the Middle East and Far East as well.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for championing a robust, effective and innovative Quality Control and Assurance system across the Company, particularly in the administrative, projects and operational environments, to ensure that the Company complies with and operates to the very highest international standards. 

Responsibilities will be, but not limited to the following: 

• Providing leadership to develop, instil and promote a culture of Quality Assurance across the Company.

• Leading the development of and accreditation to ISO27001, ISO9001, OHSAS18001 and ISO45001 and other applicable internationally recognised certification standards, including system implementation, procedural effectiveness, revision control and internal and supplier auditing.

• Developing a quality strategy, including authoring policies and processes and, thereafter, implementing, managing and auditing quality systems, processes and procedures.

• Establishing an internal Quality Internal Audit regime and schedule and executing same. Thereafter agreeing resulting corrective action plans and ensuring their close out.

• Driving continuous improvement from a quality perspective.    

• Building relationships with stakeholders to establish best practice methodologies and techniques to drive enhanced performance and improve quality.

• Identifying product qualification requirements and reliability testing specifications to drive enhanced supplier quality and improved internal service delivery.

• Promoting Quality within the company, ensuring that all employees and contractors are made aware of the QMS and the specifics as relevant to their role and their responsibility in its operation. 

• Systematically performing quality audits and surveillance activities in accordance with the company reference system and contract and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience of proactively managing/implementing ISO accreditation/certification, including the roll out of associated business/information security/quality management systems.

• Excellent knowledge of ISO27001.

• Maintenance of corporate customer-facing processes to ITIL standards.

• Fully conversant with GDPR and related information security risks.

• An advocate of Quality, Continuous Improvement and industry recognised Best Practices.

• Excellent IT skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years Quality Assurance management experience in the administrative/project/operations environments with the successful implementation of ISO 27001 as a minimum

• Qualified to Degree or HND level - Highly desirable.

• NEBOSH certificate – Desirable.

• Chartered or professional qualification status – Desirable.

• Experience of managing Quality across multiple sites/projects - Essential.

• Qualified Lead Auditor ISO--****** – Highly desirable.

• Project Management qualification and/or PRINCE 2 (Practitioner) – Desirable.

• A good understanding of ITIL v3 or foundation qualification – Desirable.

• Experience in supplier quality management and continuous improvement in a service environment, including a detailed understanding of process control techniques and extensive experience of performing supplier quality audits - Essential.
