Role: Purchaser

Pay: £20 Ltd Company

Contract: 8am-5pm Monday- Friday, 37 hours a week, 12 Months Contract

Location: Bristol

Main activities of role: -

  • Determine demand (e.g. quantities, qualities, capacities, budget) and group needs
  • Compile and verify tender documents, select tendering procedure and perform of call for tender
  • Analyse tenders and supplier recommendation, support contract management, contractual rules, tenders (price, delivery time) and suppliers
  • Regularly verify/assess/support/ processes, flows, capacities and systems of the supplier (e.g. supply chain, engineering, commercial aspects, environmental aspects, etc. (internal/external)
  • Participate in project groups for supplier identification and selection, contract conclusion and implementation and other topics concerning procurement
  • Analyse procurement market for supplier identification
  • Identify and assess supplier risk regarding current delivery performance with regard to quality, deadlines and conditions
  • Introduce/control supplier development and initiatives concerning the current delivery performance

Work results:

  • Detailed grouping of needs
  • Evaluation and analysis of tenders
  • Agreements/contracts/orders
  • Performance of analyses, reports, catalogues of measures concerning supplier performance and quality characteristics, supply of commodities and services, internal/external, national/international process improvements on supplier performance
  • Analyses, reports, action catalogs for delivery performance and quality characteristics
  • Fulfillment of service level from contract management

Essential Skills: -

  • Determine demand (e.g. quantities, qualities, capacities, budget)

  • Regularly verify/assess/support/ processes, flows, capacities and systems of the supplier (e.g. supply chain, engineering, commercial aspects, environmental aspects, etc. (internal/external)
  • Identify and assess supplier risk regarding current delivery performance with regard to quality, deadlines and conditions
  • Introduce/control supplier development and initiatives concerning the current delivery performance
  • Up to 3 years' experience in procurement or comparable functions
