The SAP HR Portal Developer performs professional-level analytical HR ABAP, Portal, Fiori and other SAP-relevant design, review and development. The SAP HR Portal Architect will provide leadership and mentorship to ABAP development staff, and has development expertise on Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms and Personas. They will design, code, test and debug ABAP programs. The SAP Portal Architect will perform code review/analysis, requirements analysis and quality assurance for the ABAP Custom Suite. They will support, maintain and document SAP ABAP, ESS/MSS and Fiori custom functions and routines.
Develop enhancements/forms/interfaces as needed for SAP-HCM.
Design, develop, unit test and document ABAP reports, interfaces, function modules while effectively interacting with users, SAP HR Business Analysts and SAP Functional Analysts.
Implement and maintain enterprise portal iView configurations/integrations and perform iView Development (J2EE) to enhance business processes.
Configure and administer Net weaver Portal components including iView's, Pages, Work sets, and Business Packages including role integration with ERP.
Develop Portal Menu Navigation, Create new Portal Themes, Modify SAP Portal Masthead as required for projects.
Create new iView's, Pages, Work sets, Roles and apply custom themes.
Work with project managers to plan the development activities.
Work independently on complex ABAP code, and proactively manage error resolution and functional specification inaccuracies.
Document changes as well as hold knowledge transfer sessions with the appropriate staff.
Support, maintain, and document SAP ABAP custom functions and routines.
Analyze support issues in interaction with functional team members and business analysts. Report delays and risks to team leads.
Supports existing and new interfaces, and has good understanding of integration with 3rd party tools
Must have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum 5 years experience as described below. With no degree, must have a minimum of 7 years relevant experience. 8-10 years of experience in ABAP development with ABAP Object Oriented Programming, BADI, BAPI, ABAP enhancements and forms strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7-8 years experience in HR ABAP development, including ADOBE Forms and Smartforms and OpenText.
Experience in updating CATS DB, Payroll and Time Clusters.
5-7 years experience in Enterprise Portal Technology (ESS/MSS), SAP Net Weaver Portal, NWDI, WebDynpro for ABAP, WebDynpro for JAVA, SAP UI5 and ODATA Services.
Hands-on experience in enhancing custom UI5 applications using SAP Web IDE.
Significant Knowledge & experience on Portal Themes, layouts and desktops.
Understanding of SAP Security Concepts such as Role-Based Auhtorizations and Structural Authorizations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
