This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Programme Engineer to join their operation at their London Gatwick Hangar. Working for the Part M organisation (Maintenance Programmes and Reliability) and alongside the clients Part 145 Production team.
You will be accountable for ensuring all scheduled (AMS) maintenance work carried out at LGW (issued by the Part M team) will not adversely interfere with other work as regards to the availability of necessary qualified personnel, tools, equipment and maintenance data. You will be responsible for all LGW fleeted aircraft, B747 and A330. Working alongside your equivalent at LHR and covering each other's role in times of absence.
You'll be responsible for managing and responding to raised Job card defects (Issue raised by Production on Part M Job Cards), whilst ensuring man-hour their policy control. In parallel to this you will also be fully defining and staging job/task cards post Maintenance Programming creation.
Producing fully defined job cards in order for production to efficiently, effectively work a job card initially defined by Programmes and Reliability (P&R).
Work within their Engineering Computer System (ECS) system and Boeing Toolbox to author defined scheduled maintenance tasks added to the Maintenance Programme by P&R.
Basic level of Technical check knowledge of required Adhoc Work Orders and Special Checks to ensure task achievable/fully defined
Supporting Maintenance planning as you will be accountable for the assessment, research and co-ordination of the aircraft maintenance fully defined task requirement and the accomplishment and certification instructions.
Maintain and amend the man-hour policy and role driven Engineering Departmental Procedures/ Local Office Instructions to ensure they are kept compliant.
Responsible for managing job card defects register to facilitate any changes to live job cards to correct typographical, reference or part/tooling errors and to improve content where required.
Work with planning team to review each generated defined work package to ensure that there is no conflicting tasks loaded, all relevant materials/tooling are available and derived man-hour are sufficient.
As a Production Programme Engineer, you will hold a European Aviation Safety Authority part 66 licence with ideally (but not necessary) approvals on 1 or more (or similar) of the following aircraft types: A330 (RR Trent 700), B747 (GE-CF6). Alternatively, you may be currently working towards this Licence and have had exposure to the relevant (or similar) aircraft types. Experience as working as a Production Planning Engineer within Part 145 or have worked within the Part M environment with recent hands on tools experience is also desirable.
You'll need good working knowledge of work processes and procedures in all areas and general understanding across Part M and Part 145 Engineering. You'll have the ability to communicate and negotiate with Originating Equipment Manufacturer (Boeing/Airbus/UTC etc) and Knowledge/experience of using MyBoeingFleet (Toolbox/Airbus World/ AirN@v) is essential.
