Production Planner (Safran Electrical & Power USA, LLC – Everett, WA)
Job Duties: Design and develop integrated systems for managing electrical wire harness production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and/or production coordination. Ensure efficient coordination between the production program and production sites for on-time delivery of wire bundles. Ensure that the product sites receive in a timely manner engineering data to support the build schedule, and oversee and coordinate bundle backlog status and engineering process improvement with manufacturing sites. Support resolution of issues impacting on-time bundle deliveries, including shortages, squawks, taps, internal and external purchase orders, and production delays. Responsible for developing systems to ensure production schedules are inline with program schedules, and responsible for providing continuous production and engineering improvement initiatives. Generate and provide production status metrics to facilitate effective decision-making, with a view toward achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in supply chain systems and Planning/Scheduling (MRP) within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
All stated experience must include:
* • Using ERP systems with Production and Manufacturing Environments Using SAP Modules: Sales Operations and Materials Management and BOM Processes;
* • Using demand supply chain data integration (Exostar - Exchange Data Integration Process - Demand Management System - SAP);
* • Collaborating with designing Production Demand Management Systems solutions (Business Process User point of view);
* • Lean Sigma (Continuous Improvement Methodology experience);
* • Developing, working and optimizing production systems by using Value Stream Process and Value Mapping Process tools;
* • Managing large volume production data using Microsoft Excel (Macros);
* • Writing and defining User Business Case(s): Business Scope: (Supply Chain / Demand Production Systems);
* • Collaborating on projects with cross functional teams; and
* • Working with production/supply chain systems integration, including:
o Purchase Orders Management Processes;
o Scheduling and Level loading production plans;
o Production capacity measurements;
o ASN (advance shipping notice);
o RLPO (reverse logistics purchase orders);
o Product demand part configuration applicability (Production Aircraft Line Applicability); and,
o Grief reconciliation shipment receiving processes.
