This position will be responsible for the development, implementation/ramp, and continuous improvement of various advanced plating/cleaning chemical processes used in manufacturing operations. Primary job responsibilities will involve process development, new design and technology setup, troubleshooting, and overall process sustaining activities for plating/cleaning chemical processes. This role requires a balanced and in-depth understanding of both the process flow and chemistry required to achieve a highly stable and predictive process. Will manage NADCAP requirements, processes and implementation. Demonstrated NADCAP experience is a must, as well as NADCAP implementation.
A disciplined use of statistical methods is required to establish robust process controls and healthy process capabilities, analyze process yield, and for experimental design and analysis. Solid leadership of cross-functional projects will be required to successfully solve complex unit process and/or integration challenges.
Major areas of responsibilities may include managing the activities of 1 or more plating processes. Focal point for third party certifications, NADCAP and AS/ISO Quality Systems. Daily activities will include the analysis of data from production and engineering process runs, qualifying changes or additions to manufacturing tool sets and process flows, and designing and executing engineering experiments to either resolve process constraints or to drive process performance improvements.
Assure that the documentation of the quality system is controlled, maintained and recorded in a manner consistent with the requirements of AS9100, NADCAP, or customer requirements, and Hermetic Seal’s quality requirements. Interface with customer Quality representatives on all Plating/Cleaning Quality-related issues and activities. Drive manufacturing process capability improvements through variation reduction, error-proofing, and implementation of statistical process control. Collect and analyze quality data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement of products and processes. Provide leadership on problem solving teams to drive root cause analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) plans. Validate and respond to Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (CAR/PAR) from both internal and external customers. Participate on Material Review Board (MRB), Develop process flow charts/diagrams and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Use lean and six sigma tools to drive process and product variation reduction. Conduct and participate in the internal and external quality system, process, and product audits.
