Job Title:  Plans and Scheduling Technician
Location:  Tabuk
Inspired Work  
Maintain Aircraft Records for component replacements, scheduled maintenance and provide support to development of the Plans and Schedules to support Flight Operations requirements and Maintenance Operations assignment, to sustain flight training mission objectives. Also responsible for the training and mentoring activities in respect of RSAF (Royal Saudi Air Force) trainees.
The Plans and Scheduling Technician has the following accountabilities for Officer and Aircrew Training Hawk aircraft at King Faisal Air Base:
  • Maintaining the accuracy and configuration of the aircraft records
  • Record Components replacement (historical)
  • Record Scheduled Maintenance (historical)
  • Structurally receive components onto GOLD
  • Reset Component lives and update Part Numbers when received back from repair or overhaul
  • Create new Task Codes, Default Work Orders and Default Processes on Gold
  • Maintain Jacket files
  • Quarterly reports (10-124)
  • Monthly Calendar and Event Pre-Position of Components (Time Change)
  • Maintain completion of TCTO’s and Service Bulletins
  • Work to a systematic maintenance cycle philosophy to sustain a flying hour program to be consistent with operational requirements and maintenance capabilities.
  • Support the compilation of work packages for Aircraft Phased Inspections, ensuring they are delivered to meet timescales in collaboration with the Plans, Schedules & Records Supervisor and Superintendent. Support the Phased Inspection progression.
  • Ensure Phased Inspection work packages are adequate and current.
  • Maintain accuracy of the Long Range Calendar Maintenance Workload and Hourly Maintenance Workload Plans. Comply with Accessory Time Change Item replacement projection and active carousel programs.
  • Participate in research and investigations, to support recommendations in response to deviations that affect capabilities or limitations, which prevent support of flight or maintenance operational tasking.
  • Able to acquire user expertise and become conversant with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system –MIRO Gold. 
  • Graduate of a military service, or recognised civilian organisation, aircraft technical training institute.
  • Must possess extensive post-graduation experience and have graduated from the Royal Saudi Air Force recognised technical training provided by BAE Systems or other recognised civilian or military organisation.
  • Must have completed Aircraft Systems training courses and must have extensive relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • The jobholder must have the ability to develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Records & Scheduling, Flight Operations, Maintenance Operations and Supply procedures and activities pertaining to the Records and Fleet Planning section.
  • Can demonstrate IT competency in the use of MS Office especially Excel, GOLD, or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance and Planning tools.
