Due to a restructure of the Operations Control area, Stobart Air are seeking to recruit for the position of Operations Supervisor.

 

The Operations Supervisor shall be responsible for the day to day management of the Operations Control Centre; providing leadership to the entire OCC team, to ensure the consistency of operational decision making, contingency planning and departmental communications such that our operational schedule may safely be delivered in compliance with regulatory, company and customer requirements.

 

The role shall be based at Stobart Air HQ on a shift basis but may involve occasional travel to suppliers, service providers, customers & company bases, as required. This role shall involve H24 working.

Activities:

 

  • ·       Leading the OCC duty teams ensuring a firm focus on safety & customer service;
  • ·       Acting as the first and last line of defence against preventable disruption to the plans of our passengers and clients;
  • ·       Maintaining oversight of scheduled operations & associated tactical planning activities;
  • ·       Making informed decisions with regard to schedule disruptions and their impact upon customer experience, punctuality & reliability;
  • ·       Handling escalations to both line and senior management and collating operational reports where required;
  • ·       Regular and consistent liaison with other departments and senior management in order to gather and provide up to date information on the progress of the day to day operation;
  • ·       Proactively identifies and addresses weaknesses in existing processes;
  • ·       Drafting and publishing updates to Ops Control procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards;
  • ·       In conjunction with the Operations Director review internal systems and procedures, and introduce initiatives as required;
  • ·       Monitor completeness and accuracy of operational data input into the operations management system;
  • ·       Management of Operations Control Staff. This shall include monitoring annual leave, sickness, appraisal and disciplinary matters and staff training & development;
  • ·       Training of Operations Control staff in theoretical concepts applicable to operations control as well as the performance of their normal duties;
  • ·       Carry out the duties of the Operations Controller, where required, to support, brief and assist the commander in the dispatch of aircraft;
  • · Other appropriate and reasonable duties & responsibilities, which may be allocated by the Operations Director, from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

 

The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • ·   Experience of working effectively in an airline operations control environment;
  • ·       Knowledge of flight planning & ATFM procedures;
  • ·       Ability to analyse complex situations, problem solve and clearly communicate appropriate solutions;
  • ·       Professional, with proven strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
  • ·       High degree of organisation skills;
  • ·       Able to manage remotely;
  • ·       Meticulous with good attention to detail;
  • ·       Flexibility with working hours;
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and comfortable learning new systems;
  • 5 year criminal background check/Garda clearance.
