Job Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer at our Biggin Hill base.


In this role you will help coordinate the smooth running of the Biggin Hill base which includes dealings with bookings, queries and the actual flights when they arrive and depart. You will also be the face on the business providing world class service to our customers whilst ensuring a smooth transition from the start to finish of our customers journey and flights with Signature Flight Support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the day to day operations of the base.
  • Liaise with customers and provide information relevant to flight requirements.
  • Ensure that we adhere and comply with all requirements/guidelines set by the airport authority, UK Border Force and Special Branch.
  • On a daily basis to monitor and control dealing with our cash based customers.
  • Assisting with the input of Tailwins points, and the collection targets for the Signature Customer Loyalty Survey
  • Details of any services requested or information pertinent to each flight must be logged.
  • Completing relevant customs, immigration and special branch paper work.
  • Assist the security team in preparing the screening of passengers, luggage, as per DFT and SFS protocol.
  • Making sure all areas of the FBO are clean and presentable at all times.
  • To ensure a safe culture through daily observation, shift briefings and handovers. To continually impress to all staff that safety comes first and must not be compromised at any time.
  • Actively promote the Signature Boutique to maximise sales
  • To assist customers and suppliers with their invoicing queries and pro-actively look to cross check invoices to ensure accurate billing


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To perform this role to the best of your ability you will have previous experience of working in a fast paced aviation or VIP environment


You will have good communications skills, be a team player and able to work under pressure. Providing the best possible service to our customers is a must so we ensure they leave happy and continue to return.


Do you speak additional languages? Although this is not essential, it is a huge advantage to interact with our customers and crews, along with building good relationships.


You must hold a valid and clean driving license to perform the day to day task of this position. Proven customer service skills, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills is desirable for this role.
