FLIGHT OPERATIONS PEOPLE for the position of: Trip support Operations coordinator.

 

Since 1959, Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. (Universal®), the pioneer of international flight support services for corporate aviation, has been arranging, coordinating and providing complete services in support of a trip for corporate aviation operators worldwide. Services range from global ground handling, permits and crew accommodations to online flight planning and a fuelling card program. Universal has offices in over 20 countries throughout the world supporting clients that represent organizations that rely on corporate and private aircraft.

 

Due to growth we are seeking Flight Operations people in in the role of Operations Coordinator.

 

Working on shift as a team member carrying out a variety of tasks primarily associated with the trip support for private and charter operators in the Corporate Aviation market. The roles involves regular contact with aircrew and support service providers such as handling agents as well as colleagues working in the UWA offices around the world. In this office our clients are predominantly but not exclusively based in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & African) but flying globally. You will be obtaining over flight and landing permits, whilst setting up services such as Flight plans, Weather, Ground Handling, Fuel, Hotels and catering. You will also provide Clients with regulatory support and advice on operating in every area of the world, including Crew Visa’s, TSA waivers, APIS, SMS, etc.

 

We are ideally seeking candidates with experience in flight Operations, an understanding of CFMU and the management of European Airway slots. However standout candidates without such experience who have other qualities and attributes will be considered.

 

Experience in a Customer care role would also support your application and we will expect you to be comfortable and competent in communicating using the telephone and email. Good keyboard skills are required. 

 

We are looking for people who understand and know how to apply whatever prior experience they bring into our company in a pre-emptive and lateral thinking manner, working in partnership to safeguard the interests of clients. Our global presence gives us a unique advantage over competitors to drive down the risk exposure in an increasingly complex and highly regulated world, so that every trip is trouble fee and every experience is a winning one.

 

We are a 24/7 operation year round, so you’ll need to be happy to work shifts including nights and public holidays. The shift pattern is currently four days on four days off, working 12hr shifts with varying start times. We have very experienced staff and a happy working environment, so we’re obviously keen to get someone with exceptional attitude and application who will fit in.

 

A demonstrable interest in Aviation would also support your application.

Applicant must live within 45 minute drive of our office at Stansted Airport, or indicate how they intend meeting this requirement if currently not. Must also have right to legally work and live in the UK.
