Stobart Air are now seeking applications for the position of Operations Controller. Based at Head Office and reporting to the Duty Operations Control Supervisor on a shift basis.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate the day-to-day aircraft scheduling with all relevant parties, and ensure that optimum utilisation and aircraft resources is achieved to maintain punctuality;

 Maintain complete Flight Watch of company aircraft and manage disruptions to the flight schedule in conjunction with handling agents and other departments;

Co-ordinate all flight planning issues with local ATC centres and EuroControl;

Maintain complete weather watch and NOTAM dissemination for all destinations and alternate airfields;

 Assist crew members with pre-flight planning duties as required;

Co-ordinate with ground handling in relation to radio calls from aircraft passing on estimated arrival times and parking stand allocations;

Ensure that all flight tracking data is accurately entered into the ASL system;

Liaise with Crew Control regarding delays, cancellations and aircraft changes affecting pilots and cabin crew;

Ensuring that all flights have their correct crew compliment and that all roster changes, amendments and notifications are advised in a timely manner.

 Other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Operations Director.

 

Minimum Skills & Experience Required:

Capable of working on their own initiative and have a high level of communication & interpersonal skills.

Enjoy working in a pressurised environment to strict deadlines and time constraints.

 PC literate.

English fluency, both spoken and written.

 

Required Qualification (Any one of the following or equivalent):

Appropriate Airline Operations & Dispatch qualification from a recognised institution, or equivalent in accordance with requirements defined in Ops Part D.

Have successfully completed a flight operations dispatcher’s course at a recognised facility.

Hold Commercial Pilots License.

Have completed a minimum of 2 years relevant practical experience in a similar operations environment.

 

Hours of work will be dictated by the Operations Roster - normally 12 hours shifts from 7-7 both day and night shifts.
