Operations Co-ordinator

We are now looking for an Operations Co-ordinator to join the existing team based in Gatwick, providing a pivotal role supporting the Operation. The role will report into the Airport Manager/Duty Supervisor, and work alongside a team of four Co-ordinators in this busy Operation.

Our Operations Co-ordinators are responsible for organising, optimising and co-ordinating the day to day operational activities carried out at the facility. The role involves day-to-day despatching of operators to refuel aircraft ensuring our customer requirements for fuel quality, safety, environmental protection and on time service levels, are met. The role also has responsibility for accurate data input, production of daily and periodic reports and general administration tasks as required to support the Operation.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, good communicator, a calm approach and with the confidence to direct our Operators in their day to day duties, following strict procedures. Training will be provided, but the successful applicant must have the ability to learn quickly and be able to work in a pressurised environment. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage.

This post is 37.5 hours per week covering shifts, across 7 days Monday to Sunday, with flexibility to provide additional cover as required. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an airside pass which will involve a CRC check.

Highly Organised

Ability to work in a pressured and face paced environment

Ability to multi-task

Ability to pick up tasks/learn quickly

Confident Communication Skills

Computer literate, able to use Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook

Must have at least 5 years experience working in an Administration role, airfield Knowledge, Aviation or Logistics Experience/ Scheduling Experience an advantage.
