Role Overview The FlightSense Operations and Data Analyst will work in a technical role supporting operational analytics and automation initiatives. The role will engage closely with other functions such as Order Management, Program Management, Asset Management, Operations, and Digital Technology to drive increased operational performance and technologies throughout the team. Primary Responsibilities: * Design and build business analytics and application solutions to automate and support operations across the global team * Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide end-user support for existing applications and tools * Develop and maintain visualizations, reports, and metrics using data from multiple systems (SAP, databases, etc.) that communicate information effectively using Tableau or similar tools * Develop and maintain database solutions for supporting analytics and applications * Manage technical projects to completion that support the growth and improvement of the business * Participates in the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery. * Supports the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand. * May be responsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement. * Become familiar with the FlightSense value stream to understand the tactical order process and daily operations * Employ the use of Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) tools as it applies to the role to foster a spirit of continuous improvement * Comply with all UTC Absolutes (Ethics, EH&S, ITC, Regulatory, etc.). * Perform other duties as directed by management Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: * BS degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Technology, or related discipline; MS degree preferred * Knowledge of and experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Visual Basic (VB), or VB.Net * Knowledge of and experience with queries in T-SQL using SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational database environments * Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel * Knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, Python, or R Shiny for data manipulation and visualization preferred * Working technical experience in SAP preferred * Aerospace experience preferred * Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) * US Citizen or permanent resident Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
