Brookfield is currently looking for an Operation Specialist to work for one of our MRO and Engineer support organisation clients at Gatwick Airport. 

The ideal candidate will be member of the 24-7, 4 on 4 off shift operational team and will provide support to the demands of the MRO customers.

  • Remuneration: up to 30K GBP per annum plus benefits 
  • Working pattern: 4 days On and 4 days Off

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all aspects of materials, procurement and inventory management are efficiently and effectively processed within the defined parameters by the line manager.
  • Keeping constant communication with the customers providing detailed and confident feedback to all the demands.
  • Assisting with any customer backlogs and ensuring delays are kept to a minimum.
  • applying strategies and looking for alternatives to grant a satisfied demand of supplies inside the MRO.
  • Identifying at an early stage, potential problems and risks, evaluating and anticipating implications and being proactive with all concerned parties in developing and defining contingency/recovery plans and actions.
  • Exploring potential market sources for new suppliers that could improve effectiveness, increase profitability or expand the company range of activities.
Requirements
  • You have the ability to work within a 24/7 operation and to absorb multiple operational demands within a tight time.
  • You have a broad knowledge and understanding of an airline operating and business environment including technical services, operations and customer services.
  • You are able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solving.
  • You are able to learn new procedures and adapt positively to change.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills – Have the ability to communicate in English, spoken as written.
  • You have the ability to carry out and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
  • You have confidence and the ability to be persuasive and assertive – creative to find cost driven solutions.
