On behalf of our client, a prestigious VVIP operation based in the Middle East, we are recruiting for an Operation Controllers (OC) on a permanent basis. As the OC, you will work within the Integrated Operational Control Centre and contribute to the success of flight missions and the efficient functioning of the operational management systems working closely with others.

Accountabilities

 

  • Ensuring all aspects of pre-flight, live flight and post-flight stages of each flight operation is achieved via the highest levels of quality, safety, efficiency and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • The successful management and delivery of all elements of aircraft and crew scheduling, including computer flight planning, crew allocations, third party vendor confirmations, obtaining all required over-flight and landing permits and similar coordination of all flight support requirements.
  • Analysing and evaluating weather reports, NOTAMS and other flight planning and route information pertinent to each flight; preparing flight plans, flight dispatch release and crew briefings, determining maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, calculating fuel requirements and providing flight deck crew with all the information required before and during flight to ensure safe and successful missions.
  • Assessing operational feasibility and planning requirements as part of each flight operational approval and overview process.
  • Monitoring of all flights from point of origin to destination, including any intermediate destinations or diversions, considering maintenance limitations, and regulatory requirements stipulated by the Company, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and other regulatory bodies.
  • Overseeing communications with all crew and other required internal and external stakeholders, while utilizing company approved systems and tools such as integrated crew comms software applications, HF and VHF radio, ACARs, telephone, fax, emails, AFTN, SITA, etc.), responding as appropriate to requests and/or the changing circumstances of each flight.
  • Maintaining impeccable tactical planning and live flight watch records and data entry, ensuring outstanding service delivery and ongoing situational awareness objectives.
 

Experience, Qualifications & Licence

 

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications as well as advanced knowledge in IOCC related aviation systems.
  • IOCC experience supporting flight missions globally.  It is a MUST that you have experience with Trans-Atlantic, European, African, Asian, and Australasian flight missions support.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Aviation regulations, Emergency procedures and best practice methods managing aircraft operations.
  • Excellent written and oral proficiency in English (must) and Arabic or another language (strongly preferred).
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience working within the Flight Dispatch / Operations Control department with a VIP or Business Aviation entity that was routinely engaged in domestic & international aircraft operations to all regions globally.
  • Proven experience in flight planning narrow and wide body aircraft.
  • Thorough knowledge of crew Flight Time Limitations and how to apply these rules to aircraft operations control.
  • Natural leadership, being comfortable with responsibility and knowing how to install motivation and trust within the IOCC team to achieve outstanding results on an individual and collaborative basis.
  • A current Flight Dispatcher license and a tertiary education to a degree level is desirable, preferably in a technical or aviation discipline.
