Nondestructive Inspection Technician

Role Summary:
The Nondestructive Inspection Technician will perform inspections to Customer requirements and technical procedures. Perform evaluation of test results and provide acceptance / rejection. The Nondestructive Inspection Technician Role has a potential lump sum to assist with relocation.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Nondestructive Inspection Technician will:

* Collaborate with Level 3 in the creation of technique sheets

* Maintenance of equipment and calibration

* Control of Safety related equipment

* Comply with all safety and PPE requirements

* Ability to work flexible shifts to support production

Qualifications/Requirements:

* High School diploma / GED equivalent

* Minimum of 2 years of NDT experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

* Current certifications to NAS 410 Level 2 Ultrasonic Inspection

* Candidate to successfully pass internal examination within 45 days

* Participate in mandatory FAA Drug Test program

* Ability to work flexible shifts to support production

* This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies)

* Current certifications to NAS 410 Level 2 Penetrant Inspection

* Contact Ultrasonic scanning

* Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems

* Composites structure evaluation

* Penetrant Type 1
