Network Manager Operational Control Centre (OCC)


Responsible for the coordination of published flights ensuring correct operational compliance with regulatory, industrial and company requirements. Responsible for proactive assessment of available resources during disruption and implementation of cost effective, legal recovery plans in accordance with regulatory and company policies. This without any time limits between 0500H and 2300H,24h/24h with on-call availability 7days/7days.


* Communication:

* Participation at briefings

* Comprehensive handover to oncoming shift

* Timely liaison with OCC units and Network Operations regarding operational matters

* Liaison with Flight Operations , Cabin Crew management , technical department and ACC

* Liaison between all operational and non-operational departments (handling agents , load control , cargo department , revenue management , technical department both operational and planning department , commercial network planning , medical department , VIP service and outstations)

* First and only point of contact with Airport authorities , BAC (data control) and State Police concerning armed guards and weapon transport.

* Main liaison between crew and handling in general (via VHF , acars , phone )

* Liaison between VO,BE,BMI operations and OCC (wet lease operating on behalf of SN

* Disruption Management:

* Main responsible in solving complex problems

* Proactive in assessment and implementation of disruption management plan

* Assess aircrew allocations to ensure operational integrity and compliance

* Maximum use of available resources

* Permanent member of the ECC (Emergency Crisis Centre)

* Logbook keeping for Flight OPS management (DFO , fleet managers and technical pilots) on all flight related issues (incidents,accidents,safety)

* Responsibilities in case of wet lease operations :

* Request for wet lease

* Follow up of all required legal documentation

* Distribution of relevant info towards concerned DOD/MOD's to allow them to execute their required tasks

* Follow up of all requirements for a smooth operation (crew hotel accommodation , tickets , etc)

* Situational Awareness:

* Critical seeking of information impacting all aspects of the operation

* Proactive assessment and action to minimise adverse impact on the network

* Cost cutting / saving action

* Centralized contact between cockpit crews, ground crews, handling company and OCC

* Compliance:

* Compliance with applicable industrial, company and regulatory requirements

* Accurate assessment and actioning of all legality checks

* Batch Legalities correctly assessed and actioned with any legality breaches documented to management

* Actioning of respective shift tasks

* Follow up of contractual services from/towards 3rd companies

* Follow up of SLA agreements with handling companies taking in account financial implications

* Operational responsibility for delay setting and reporting with info gathered via all possible channels (ACC, gate agents , crews , redcaps , handling agent etc)

* Responsible for ad-hoc airport slots requests/cancelations with possible high financial impact (fines in case of non-compliance) and safeguarding of historical slots

* Balancing the multiple and often conflicting demands of different departments , technical department , crewing department , etc into a workable daily planning

* Coordination of Aircrew:

* Optimise resource allocation

* Minimised wastage of reserve

* Maximised usage of crew already on duty (i.e. deadhead travel/crew layover)

* Maintain Operational System Data Integrity

* Ensure all systems are updated accurately as required

* Use of all available systems/information

* Follow up of urgent system break downs


* Minimum bachelor degree

* Dutch , French and English at a higher level are a minimum requirement (both written and spoken)

* Minimal 5 years of operational experience in civil aviation

* Extensive knowledge of current Window applications

* Capable of fast familiarisation with the used computer systems (AFIS airport system,Staff pages,BlueOne,,AMS,ATIS,DCS,AxsRes)

* Broad orientation, analytical thinking and the power to adaptation are an absolute must.

* Social skills allow delicate matters to be solved in a win-win situation

* Stress resistant

* Creative problem solving (out of the box approach keeping in mind company regulations)
