Job Description

CACI is seeking an experienced Naval Marine Engineer with leadership, communication and technical skills in one or more marine engineering disciplines who is interested in supporting the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant by supporting stakeholders by offering guidance with complex technical issues, reviewing and commenting on shipyard deliverables and mentoring younger engineers.

What You’ll Get to Do:

* Lead complex marine engineering tasks ranging from concept studies to preliminary, contract and detailed design, and through ship production and delivery
* Interface directly with clients to provide technical solutions and recommendations and ensure complete customer satisfaction
* Review and approve deliverables produced by less experienced engineers
* Interface with suppliers, vendors/contractors and cross functional teams to ensure necessary resources are available for ships and systems
* Research new technology and development tools to remain informed of current technology with respect to ship design and systems.
* Draft or provide input to various briefs and reports
* Attend technical meetings with the customer

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
* Navy surface combatant design experience.
* 5 years or more of experience in US Navy ship and ship design
* Good interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders and other team members.
* Have an active Secret Security clearance.
* Skills in Microsoft Office
* Good written and verbal (English) communication skills.
* Familiar with US Navy and Regulatory Body Design Standards and Criteria
* Experience with FEA software and AutoCAD

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Experience in the Navy or Maritime environment
* Experience with American Bureau of Shipping Rules
* Experience with Military Sealift Command Ships
* Knowledge of SEA 05D programs
* Familiar with 3-D Product Model Software used during detailed construction
